Isambard Kingdom Brunel

Welcome to Brunel Class.

A very warm welcome back to Woodchurch for those returning children and parents and a lovely new welcome to children and parents who have joined us for the first time.

Our class is named after the famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. On our class swap days the children were able to research some of his amazing feats of engineering but please continue to  encourage them to do more this term.

We welcome Mrs Poyner to Cairo class who will be supporting children in small groups and individually with their learning as well as our amazing volunteer readers who regularly give up their time to come and support our class.

The class timetable is attached to our page but the main one to let you know is that PE will be onThursday and Friday afternoons so please ensure all kit is named and  in school.

On Tuesday afternoons children will continue to learn Mandarin with MS Wang.

Homework is now project based but children are expected to read to an adult regularly at home, awards will be given out for home reading, and continue to work hard to learn their times tables.

If you have any questions please call in to see me or catch me at the end of the day on the gate.

I am looking forward to a fabulous year in Brunel Class.

Best wishes

Mrs Brown
