Woodchurch CE Primary School runs an Early Morning Club from 8.00am to the beginning of school. The club is open term time only for children in Reception to Year 6, Monday to Friday from 8.00 – 8.30am. At 8.30am children will be escorted to their classrooms for the start of the school day. Although breakfast will not be provided, we do offer fruit and milk as a snack if children want it. As well as fruit and milk, the children are able to have fun in a relaxed environment before starting their school day. The cost of this session is £2.50 per child per session.
Our Early Morning Club is run by school staff, Mrs Coles and Mrs Hastings and they have the correct safeguarding checks in place. The ratio of staff to children will be in accordance with Government recommendations. Staff will keep a list of all members of the club and a register of attendance will be taken daily. We aim to follow best practice guidance and will have a ratio of one adult to eight children.
There is a link for our booking form for the Early Morning Club and the terms and conditions for your guidance on this page. In order to ensure we meet all guidelines regarding staff and child ratio, we will require you to pre-book by the Friday, the week before you need the club. Payment is to be made in advance, at the time of booking. Payments can be made a term in advance or on a weekly basis. Bookings can be made using the booking form or at the office, subject to spaces being available. Booking in advance using the booking sheet will secure the places you need. If a child is ill on a day they are due to attend Early Morning Club, this will not be refundable as staffing provision will have been made and these costs will still need to be covered. If a place is cancelled with 48 hours notice, no charge will be made.
You may be entitled to help with the cost of breakfast club if:
•Your child has been entitled to Free School Meals at any point during the last 6 years
• You are members of the Armed Forces
