FOWSA

FOWSA is a registered Charity and fundraising committee made up of teachers, parents and friends of the children at Woodchurch School. We aim to work with the school to raise money to buy the extras that the school budget would struggle to provide.

Our team is made up of:

Chairman – Maria Baksh

Vice Chair- Jenn Read

Treasurer- Karen Stevens

Secretary- Justine Williams

Our committee is made up of parents and carers of children that attend the school. They work tirelessly to come up with fundraising ideas and support our events.

FOWSA needs you.

We are always looking for volunteers to support FOWSA and the school in any way, so if you want to join the committee, are able to spare some time to help with our events, or have a fund raising idea, please let us know.

You can contact FOWSA by emailing: fowsa@woodchurch.kent.sch.uk

FOWSA is only successful as a result of the effort put in by all parents, carers and teachers who support our events.

This academic year we have held fund raising events including:

Craft Night

The Great Woodchurch Bake Off

Film Night

Our next event is  the CHRISTMAS FAIR which will be held at school on Friday 16th December 2016 from 2.30pm. Come along and meet reindeers, visit Santa’s Grotto and have a go at ice skating.

Donations to school this academic year.

This year we have covered the cost of two new projectors for Years 2 and 6.

We will be covering the costs of the Christmas crackers and the Christmas gifts for each classroom.

We are hoping to raise a lot more more this year as we would like to cover the school’s wishlist which consists of laptops, playground markings and an iPad trolley.

FOWSA also gives around £3500 annually for the coaches for school trips, provides book bags for children in Reception and newspapers for learning purposes.
