Welcome to Matterhorn Class! I hope you all had a relaxing half term break and are feeling refreshed and ready for term 4.
Our connected curriculum theme for term 4 is ‘water’. We will be learning about states of matter in science and will discover how the water cycle works. We will find out about rivers and their features. In R.E we will be thinking about the question ‘Why do Christians call the day Jesus died, Good Friday?’. We have an exciting term planned with our annual book week, FOWSA disco and preparations for Easter just a few of the events to look forward to. Please ensure that your child is using our online resources as frequently as possible to support their learning-TT Rock Stars and Reading Eggs. Also, please continue to read regularly with your child and help them to learn their times tables. We are named after The Matterhorn which is a mountain in the Alps located between Switzerland and Italy. It has an almost symmetrical pyramid shaped peak and its summit is 4,478 metres high making it one of the highest summits in the Alps If there is anything you would like to discuss with me please feel free to catch me after school.
