Happy New Year!
Time is flying by, I cannot believe we are already in 2020 and ready to begin our third school term.
I’d like to start by letting you all know that I have made a few changes to our timetable this year and PE will now be on Thursdays and Fridays.
Wow! The children worked so hard last term writing persuasive speeches, researching the impact of plastic pollution and thinking of ways to make our future sustainable. This theme will continue in term 3 where we will finish reading ‘The Song of a Dolphin Boy’.
We will start the term recapping and building on our knowledge of Multiplication and Division. It is important that the children practice their times tables at home.
Foxes – don’t forget about your place on the leader board!
Our Multiplication Masters and Spelling Superstars leader board has been a great hit with the children. Each week the children have the opportunity to make it onto our leader board – winning 5 raffle tickets each!
Times tables are a be a big focus this year and all year 4 children are expected to know all of their times tables up to 12 X 12. Please support this by practising at home. Resources can be found on the left.
I am excited to start our first venture into History this year as we explore Anglo Saxons and Vikings. This will coincide with the book ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, a book that you may have heard of.
Let’s just say its ELECTRIFYING! We will be looking at; building our own electricity circuits, how electric is used and how to use electricity safely.
The Big Question: What kind of world did Jesus want?
We will be looking at a range of Biblical stories and thinking about what messages Jesus left for Christians and how they impact the Christians of today.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
