Welcome to FOWSA

We believe that education is most powerful when schools and families work in partnership. The Friends of Woodchurch School Association — or FOWSA — is our parent-teacher association, bringing together parents, carers and staff to support the school’s mission and enrich every child’s learning experience, both in and out of the
classroom. When your child joins our school you automatically become a member of FOWSA.

Who we are and what we do
FOWSA is run by a small group of parent volunteers, with Committee members including Danielle, Ela and Emma. We are all working parents with children at the school, and our aim is to help create memorable experiences for our community. We plan and run a range of events and initiatives that not only to raise valuable funds but also bring joy to the children and families together.

With thanks to the generosity of parents and carers, and the time given by volunteers, in 2024/25 we funded coaches for the school pantomime and provided funding to update the school playground equipment.
This year we are fundraising for:
 Sound system
 Roving microphones
 New books for the library
 Coaches to and from the pantomime

How You Can Get Involved
Being part of FOWSA doesn’t have to mean a big commitment — just a willingness to get involved when and how you can. Whether you’ve got a couple of hours to spare, a skill to share, or a great idea for an event, we’d love to hear from you. We will be in touch via ClassDojo, ParentMail and Facebook with updates and opportunities to get involved.

Connect with usWe now have a FOWSA Facebook group, where you can stay up-to-date and
connect with other parents. We have a second- hand school uniform shop— a simple way to save money,
support the school and reduce waste. You can also support us when you shop online through Easy Fundraising. It’s free to use, spans most shops including supermarkets, and helps raise funds effortlessly
with every purchase. If you’re taking part in a sponsored event, we are a registered charity on JustGiving
