50 Things to do Before you Leave Woodchurch
"Let your light shine” – through experiences that inspire, challenge and help every child to flourish.
At Woodchurch CE Primary School, we are committed to providing a rich and memorable education that goes beyond the classroom. Our “50 Things to Do Before You Leave Woodchurch” programme has been carefully designed to enhance our curriculum and ensure that all pupils benefit from a wide range of meaningful and enriching experiences.
Planned progressively across each year group, these experiences provide opportunities for pupils to develop cultural capital, broaden their horizons and apply their learning in real-life contexts. Activities include visits to museums, farms and places of local interest, opportunities to cook and grow food, participation in the arts and performances, as well as outdoor learning and residential experiences.
The programme is fully inclusive and ensures that every child, regardless of background, can access experiences they may not otherwise encounter. Each activity is thoughtfully chosen to support the development of independence, resilience and confidence, enabling pupils to flourish both academically and personally.
From early experiences such as exploring nature and performing in EYFS, to increased challenge and responsibility in Year 6, including residential visits, community engagement and leadership opportunities. Each moment is designed to create lasting memories and support the development of the whole child.
We believe that by the time pupils leave Woodchurch, they are not only well-prepared for the next stage of their education, but also equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in the wider world.
