At Woodchurch CE Primary, we are proud to be a single-form entry school, meaning we have one class per year group, from Reception through to Year 6. Each class has a maximum of 26 pupils, allowing us to maintain a nurturing, family feel where every child is known, valued and supported as an individual.

To reflect our rural setting and to inspire a sense of wonder, identity and belonging, each class is named after a woodland animal. These names aren’t just charming—they help our children feel connected to the natural world, encourage curiosity, and reflect the unique qualities we nurture in each group. Whether it’s the creativity of the Blackbird, the cleverness of the Fox, or the gentle determination of the Rabbit, our class names reflect the values and character traits we help children grow and celebrate.

Our classes are:
