Our School

Woodchurch Church of England Primary School is a small, rural village school nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside. Serving the children of Woodchurch and the surrounding areas, the school has a long and proud history of providing high-quality education within a caring and inclusive Christian environment.

Located close to the historic All Saints’ Church, the school was originally established as a National School. The first school building was erected in 1844 and has since been expanded in response to the needs of the growing community. Extensions were added in 1872, 1896, 1990, and most recently in 1998, ensuring that the facilities remain fit for modern learning while still retaining the charm of the original school.

Woodchurch CEP School maintains strong links with All Saints’ Church and plays an active role in village life, nurturing a strong sense of community and belonging among pupils and families. The school admits 26 children each year into single-form entry classes, allowing for close relationships between staff and pupils and a personalised approach to teaching and learning.

In 2023, the school entered a federation with High Halden Church of England Primary School, forming the Flourish Together Federation. While working collaboratively with its federated partner, Woodchurch CEP School proudly remains a Local Authority maintained school, continuing its mission to serve local families with dedication, faith, and a commitment to helping every child flourish.
