Wrap Around Care/Clubs

At Woodchurch CE Primary School we understand how important wrap-around care is for families. Many parents and carers need flexibility in their day, whether that’s an early start for work or safe, engaging childcare after school. High-quality wrap-around care not only supports families but also gives children a chance to build friendships, explore new interests and develop confidence beyond the classroom.

We are proud to offer a range of before- and after-school options to suit different needs. From our Drop-Off Club each morning, to our Stay and Play sessions and wide choice of after-school clubs, children are cared for in a safe, welcoming environment where they can enjoy themselves, try new activities and continue their learning in fun and creative ways.

Drop-Off Club
Our Drop-Off Club runs from 8:00am each morning in the school hall. It offers a calm and welcoming start to the day, where children can choose from a range of activities including play, drawing, reading and more. The club is flexible to your needs and can be booked for any day of the week through ParentMail.

We have tried to organise a range of clubs across different interests and age groups, ensuring there is something for everyone. These clubs provide opportunities for children to develop new skills, explore interests and enjoy time with friends beyond the classroom.

There are two types of clubs available:

1. Wrap-Around Care with our provider, Play Place

Children can enjoy the following:
· Creative arts and crafts
· Sports and games
· Construction and imaginative play
· Indoor and outdoor activities
· Themed activity days and celebrations
· Social play with friends
· Quiet areas for reading and relaxation

All details of how to make a booking are on the document below.

2. This term, we will be offering clubs run by our staff alongside a range of specialist clubs delivered by external providers.

Our Choir Club will be linked to an exciting trip to the Young Voices Concert at the O2. Children who join will rehearse the songs in preparation for this amazing experience.

Staff-led clubs will run on set days each week and can be booked via parent mail.

Our external clubs include activities such as football, dance and drama. These are booked and paid for directly with the provider, and we will attach the contact and booking details for each.

Below is a timetable of all clubs with details of:

Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis where clubs have limited spaces, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The external clubs will confirm with you directly.

Thank you for your continued support in providing your children with a broad and enriching experience at our school. We look forward to seeing many of them enjoying the clubs this term.

If you have any questions regarding the clubs, please contact the school office.
