We are delighted to share the outcomes of our most recent inspections, which highlight the strength of our teaching, the care we provide, and the way our Christian vision shapes daily life at Woodchurch CEP School.

Ofsted – May 2023

Graded Good in all areas:

  • Overall Effectiveness – Good

  • Quality of Education – Good

  • Behaviour and Attitudes – Good

  • Personal Development – Good

  • Leadership and Management – Good

  • Early Years Provision – Good

What inspectors said:

  • A safe, nurturing “family” atmosphere where pupils feel valued and part of the community.

  • A rich, ambitious curriculum with high aspirations for every pupil.

  • Strong phonics and reading provision; pupils achieve well and enjoy learning.

  • Respectful, well-behaved pupils who live “The Woodchurch Way”.

  • Rich opportunities for learning beyond the classroom – from forest school to cooking workshops and church visits.

  • Governors and leaders work strategically together for continual improvement.

SIAMS – February 2024

Our SIAMS inspection confirmed that Woodchurch is living up to its foundation as a Church school.

  • Strong partnerships through the Flourish Together Federation enable staff and pupils to thrive.

  • A caring, inclusive culture where all are valued and able to flourish.

  • Religious Education has a high profile, with engaging lessons and “big questions” that deepen thinking.
