Adult Education
Kent Adult Education offers a wide range of courses in each district council area, designed to open up learning opportunities for all adults — whatever their circumstances.
Our aims are to:
-
Increase access to community learning, creating new opportunities and improving lives.
-
Bring communities together to share the joy of learning and the pride of achievement.
-
Support social and economic well-being for individuals, families, and communities.
These programmes align with Kent County Council’s Bold Steps for Kent, helping to:
-
Grow the Kent economy
-
Put residents in control of their learning and opportunities
-
Tackle disadvantage
Courses contribute to key priorities such as health and wellbeing, family support, volunteering, community resilience, and employment skills.
Kent Adult Education works closely with local communities to provide a vibrant, diverse, and challenging programme of learning opportunities — accessible in terms of location, timing, and cost.
This year, we are excited to have scheduled First Aid and Happy Healthy Minds workshops specifically for parents and carers, helping adults feel confident and well-equipped to support their child’s safety, wellbeing, and emotional health.
Each district programme is tailored to meet local needs and may include a variety of elements, from skills-based training to leisure courses.
